A keynote on patient trajectories at UCPH's AI in Life Science summer school

I’m excited to be part of the AI in Life Science PhD summer school at the University of Copenhagen on 10 August 2026 with a keynote on life trajectories.

The summer school, which is officially AI and Data Science: Applications and Opportunities in Health Sciences, runs 10–21 August and gathers early-career researchers from computer science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, neuroscience, and the neighbouring quantitative fields. It’s a two-week, hands-on programme built around Denmark’s unusually rich health-data infrastructure, and I get to be part of the first day to kick it off.

My talk is about life trajectories: what happens when you point the tools of network and behavioural science at large-scale life as well as health data and try to model how human health and disease actually unfold over time … not as a snapshot, but as a sequence. It’s the same modelling approach that drives my group’s work on human lives, but here I’ll focus on what life-data helps us understand about health. Looking forward to it!
